Viral Menigitis Can Viral Meningitis Affect Motor Skills Or Brain Function In Child?

Can viral meningitis affect motor skills or brain function in child? - viral menigitis

Well, my friends say 4 years is not viral and bacterial meningitis. It has been 3 days and he eats well, but still not able to get up and behave like some of his motor skills, such as from a slightly retarded or something. My friend is very anxious, and the doctors really give much information. Viral meningitis is what I read are not as serious as bacteria, but they are so concerned that he be left with scars and try to think of information in a way, maybe there when the liquor small that things is normal, could be restored?
Thanks

Both viral and bacterial meningitis can cause encephalitis, a disease that affects the central nervous system is infected - so seriously affected the region and almost all the important features of this region of the brain, like riding, and even some cognitive functions. It depends on the strain that infected a person, because some strains are more aggressive than others, the provision by obtaining samples of CSF and bacterial or viral cultures or are they done what is involved in meningitis.

This is not in relation to any substance or fear, but the meningitis is caused by viruses or bacteria or parasites or fungi in nature, very worrying as the progression of the infection without treatment intervention can cause d other debilitating diseases, the brain and could even lead to death, if not totally uncontrolled. I think the doctors have immunoglobulin prophylaxis gamma globulin for the patient, given the broad spectrum of infection, and perhaps even AntiBiotics if the suspicion is bacterial in nature.

What are the CSF during infection of the spine and the first forms of meningitis, knowing a high titer of antibodies and lymphocytes, which is the typical reaction of the immune system during infection, the LCR is the piece of milky / opaque in color. Perhaps the approval of the color of the CSF's may indicate that infection has declined or that the infection can move to another location have (the first is probably because WBC will be near the "review" of pathogens).

The child suffered minor relapse of May the infection, probably testify because no fever and a general feeling of malaise (feeling sick) from the infected children, but says that will affect his motor functions, and it is still too early. If certain drugs are underway to determine the exact cause of meningitis, the immune system will be supported by specific antibodies. There are serious complications, of course, except, again, LEFNot qualify, but it is too early to conclude that the child, the infection is retarted or reduced engine.

Hope this helps, and the desire for a child of his friend a speedy recovery.
